The Best Anime So Far??

I have heard about many really good anime series. I watched allmost everyone, and i need some more. Do you guys know a really good anime i should watch?

Elfen Lied?! Have u guys seen that? I think it's the best anime so fucking far!
If you like anime you would love Elfen Lied.

I'd recommend checking out Gintama first. The first season is alright but it becomes a lot better later on. And everyone's seen Elfen Lied, it's pretty much a mainstream anime.

The anime was missing a lot, like in the manga it was Keade/Nyu not Lucy/Nyu and it's missing a couple of characters. The ending was alright I guess, but it's more like a complete remake is needed more than a second season.

Psycho pass is really good. Also it depends on what the person likes in anime that makes it " the best " so technically there's no anime that is the best considering everyone has there own preferences.

I'm going to burst the bubble:

Elfen Lied was a mediocre anime that got hype because it had gore. The anime's plot and ending along with well, everything outside of the opening scene, were pretty half-assed.

Surprisingly enough it came out in 2004, using many of the older character models that would eventually die out in 2007-2009. The gore and such was a "shocker" and it became somewhat of a phenomenon of popularity.

1. Anime at the time had been somewhat "censored". 4kids was infamous for this, but many other studios were afraid to put out anything. It was quite shocking, given how anime had become so censored with the rise of the internet. Ghost in the Shell, Akira, many other anime were uncesored to the core, yet here in 2004 Elfen Lied got props for half-done gore. In fact there are thousands of "motivational posters" saying how much "gore" there is in elfen lied, how "hardcore" the show is, all because the hype-train.

2. Internet hype. It's something that people don't really recognize but with the newly formed internet Elfen Lied was like Shingeki now, people were hyping it and selling it off as a great anime. People still do, even though the plot is X-men without the maturity or half a dozen copies since then.

In other words: Elfend Lied was a mediocre anime at the time. Right now I wouldn't say anyone who likes anime would like it, since the hype train no longer drives it.
