addition2.xml will give you all the remote textures. Comment all of it out and you will lose all the items but the good thing is that you won't have any more remote textures

Yeah, you don't NEED to disable remote textures, but it would help. You should just download them and put them in the client, TBH.
Search for the IP string in Yogda, and change it to 127.0.0.1 - that's assuming that you have a source you are going to use. I'll give you a step-by-step tut if you want.

Actually if you really want to play offline, You have to disable (not remove XMLs) the server from trying to connect to the internet to get remote textures. Otherwise it'll crash.

Actually it can crash the server as it attempts to reach the internet for the textures

I know that, but I thought it had a response (using the null art blocks) when connection to an external source fails. Guess I was wrong.
Is it possible to play prod offline? (I know it hasn't been done, there's an issue with encryption, and such, although lets say the encryption was gone)
