How To Remove Ads From .dll Hacks

Hex Edit. So long as the .dll file isn't packed thats all you need to do. if it is packed you need to unpack it first, which is completely different from this tutorial, so if its packed you need to google if there is a way to unpack it. you need to know what its packed with before searching google for an unpacker.

I've attached the Hex Editor I use. Its HexEdit2. It's run from java, so you MUST have Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer.. if you don't already have that done, then you don't surf the internet at all cause java is everywhere.

save this .rar file anywhere

CREATE A NEW FOLDER IN YOUR ROOT DIRECTORY! (C:\)
this folder can be named anything, but for the purposes of this tutorial, name it "HERE"

extract the files of this .rar to that folder

open your Command Prompt, XP Users it's Start>Run and enter CMD
otherwise its Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt

once its running type in EXACTLY "cd \HERE" and press Enter
this will switch you to the folder where the files are

once done, type in EXACTLY "java HexEdit2"

IT IS UNPACKED SO IT IS OPEN FOR EDITING

then we search for the FIRST TEXT STRING of the Advertisement




you can edit this out with anything you want, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE AMOUNT OF CHARACTERS YOU PUT IN MUST BE THE EXACT AMOUNT OF CHARACTERS YOU TAKE OUT

W = 1
a = 2
r = 3
P = 4
a = 5
t = 6
h = 7
S = 8
i = 9
n = 10

so whatever you put instead of my name has to be 10 characters. ANY CHARACTER EXCEPT "~" The ~ is an invalid character.. !@#$%^&*() are all acceptable and of course letters, spaces and numbers

Once You Are In This Area That The Advertisement Is In You Can Check Around This Group Of Words And Edit Anything Else You See As An Advertisement. You Can Change Capital Letters To Lower Case Or Vise Versa On The Menu, Such As Chams to CHAMS or chams or ChAmS, however you want it. THE MENU IS JUST AFTER THE TEXT OF WarPathSin Pub V.2

So If You Look Around A Bit You'll See My Website Advertisement.



EDIT THIS THE SAME AS YOU DID MY NAME.. ANY CHARACTERS SO LONG AS THEY ARE THE SAME IN LENGTH

So we change WarPathSin to something else thats 10 characters long and GlobalFailure . tk* to something else thats 17 characters long. Save the file and you're done.

How To Tell If The File Is Packed

when you search for the advertisement.. you wont find it

winhex isn't as good or as easy to use

right.. if its packed you need to unpack it first.. use a virus scan report to see what its packed with and google how to unpack it.
