Is using gamestop accounts risky?

Just go around to different gamestops, but they aren't going to do shit either way.

Lol I always go to different gamestops, but because I go to 3 or 4 at a time I still go to each one weekly. I usually bring my friends now and if I don't recognize the workers then we each get something if I do then only one of us gets something, or at the one that the guys are always asking me questions about how I get the coupons I just have my friend go in without me if he hasn't been to that one before.
I thought maybe if the people report the points missing from their account then gamestop may tell all stores that have these coupons mass used at them to check if the person can verify they own the account the coupon was from, and if they can't to hold them and call the police, though I don't think they actually would legally be allowed to hold you.

Also, do you guys use a rewards card? At first I just used the card linked to the coupons because when I didn't get a card the guys would ask where I got them, and saying I got them from a friend would work once, but after a while I figured that would be a little fishy. Now I just say I'm picking it up for my friend and give them a fake number (since phone numbers are linked to the accounts and they always ask for it) but again, if I keep doing it they might think something fishy is going on. I know I'm probably over thinking it, just want to make sure I stay out of trouble

Might as well comment here as the employees at my local gamestop have noticed my brother constantly coming in to buy new AAA games like Fallout and Battlefront using only certificates. They told him that he shouldn't be doing that and that from now on he is required to provide ID on every purchase with a gift certificate. Bro played the Ebay card and they said it was ok but from now on the certificates have to be his.

Seems like a hassle but it really isn't. You can still use coupons after they find out, just as long as you have your ID. What you want to do is after printing out your game certificates is head on over to account information, take a screenshot of the page or copy paste everything on there over to a .txt file, change all of the information including name, phone number, birthday and maybe even email to what it says on your personal ID, immediately go over to a gamestop to get a game, go home right away and change all the information back to what it was before asap.

This way, the account looks like it's yours. They check the account details and the info on the account will match what it says on your ID. Just as if the account was yours. You just gotta be quick about it.

I wrote this during a massive headache so if this post seems confusing and anyone needs clarification, just let me know and I'll try to rewrite this at a later time. Hope this helps.

Yea gotta agree with some of the advice here. I personally went to 2 gamestops a couple of days ago and one of the gamestops I went to a day before and went in didn't have any trouble cashing out but I definitely wouldn't recommend doing it to frequently and if you do, just try to figure out the schedule of who works that day and try to alternate who you use the certificates on. I've personally used 3-400 worth from one gamestop in a month and a half give or take.
