Packing/Injecting .rez files

I am just trying to edit sounds in SA, and I finally got into the rez files using the gvi.dat/temporary folder method. I have edited the files that I need to, but now I am having trouble repacking the rez file.

rezinject says that there is an error with the rez file, so I cannot reinject it as is. Is there a way to simply create a rez file from the folders/files that I currently have?

Well there are definitely ways to do it, because the weapon/player skin packs would not work otherwise. I just want to change some sound effects :P

also, the rezs seem to be more protected on Sudden Attack than on Combat Arms, because none of the tools designed for CA work. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Well the dude who created the tools made them really for another game years ago. Then he updated them for CA. It's just the way they are coded I guess.

Hmm, yea, the rez extract nor the inject is working for me =(
not a vaild Rez file it says :/
