How to force update?

I was reading some forums for information about a skin changer, and multiple times it references a "force update," but nobody used a variable name but just put "clientstate + 0x154" and I do not know if that 0x154 has changed since the time the posts were written (September of last year).

I like to refer to those offsets as "static" offsets because they rarely change. i looked on the offset mega thread for the offset 0x154 and didn't see anything for the month of September so it might not be an offset (or maybe it is, idk).
