Making a site/forum

If I am interested into making a site/forum something real small with a couple of forums.
What language do I need to know?
Something MyBB or even XenForo, do I need a lot of experience to run one?

You don't really need to know a language for using a forum like MyBB. If you want to really get creative and make your own forum base, PhP, MySql, Html, and Javascript as the user stated above.

Don't be discouraged, it all takes time.
