Step 1. Open Catch'Em Bot (Always use the latest version)
Note: DO NOT START ANY BOTS YET!
Step 2. Click on the RouteCreator Tab in the top right hand corner of Catch'Em
You should get a screen like so:
Step 3. Scroll through the map and find your desired location to start making a route.
Step 4. Once you have found a location, Right click on a road or pathway to set your Starting point.
If done correctly you should see this starting route marker point appear:
Step 5. Follow along the road/pathway you have chosen and set a waypoint
A new marker should appear, follow along the roads/pathways you want your route to look like until you end up with something like this:
Note: Please keep in mind that your route should be a circular as possible, as by default the bot will route it like that.
Special Note: The developer recommends less than 21 Waypoints at any given time. Also the maximum number of waypoints is hard capped at 45!
Step 6. Build the route using the GREEN button in the bottom left of Catch'Ems Route Creator
If done correctly, your route will now look like this:
Step 7. Name your route in text box on the Bottom left of Catch'Ems Route Creator
If done correctly, your route should appear in the Current Routes list box:
Note: If you are using Mapzen Valhalla Routing, make sure to check the box that says "Preffer Mapzen Routing Over Google"
Step 8. Click on the Bot Info tab and make sure you're in the Settings tab.
Scroll down to Routing Services and make sure that you have
"Use Custom Route" Enabled and the recently created route selected from the drop down box
Step 9. Start all desired bots that you want to follow the route!
Note: For all bots to follow the same route, the settings for each must be same on the Routing Services section.
