- Get into the habit of not writing contractions (they're, you're, they've, for example). For writing assignments like essays, especially for a literature, language, or any other arts related class, they'll tell you this.
- Use transition words. They allow the flow of sentences to merge efficiently. Google has a plethora of sites that bring up transition words, but you can find some here: https://msu.edu/~jdowell/135/transw.html
