You don't need to use the code.
It's just as simple as mentioning a friend on Facebook comments, "@" + "Name".
You don't need to use the [mention=userid] that makes it real hard to keep on with members.
Try tagging me below "@" + "Ameer" without the quotation marks, and no spaces.

@Ameer /3short

Forgot to mention that it bugs out when you start with a mention in your post.
I usually solve this by clicking space 2 times then mentioning the user, or doing @ @Ameer
