I honestly dont get what bitcoin mining is lol i use bitcoin everyday im not a noob but bitcoin mining seems confusing

At this point it's very inefficient thing to do people invest a lot of money into those cloud-miners or rigs that are specifically designed to mine Bitcoin however if you started mining now it wouldn't be worth it the cost of electricity to power that thing, ie your computer would be a lot more than what you gain from mining which is why people don't do it if they haven't been doing it from the beginning or have the prime shit to do it with.

In this day and age of Bitcoin, mining with your average PC just isn't enough. Like another user mentioned, electricity > profit. Not worth it unless you're going big.

Profit is low unless you're doing with a ton of hardware, not forgetting that every two weeks the mining difficulty is adjusted.

I know how bitcoin mining works because I mined around 2011 a little bit and yes I know that it "eats" lots of power. It's not profitable any more except if you are going big.
