Is there any safe way to buy them online?
I usually buy all digital gift cards off of "Gyft(dot)com".
They get delivered instantly, have bought tons of Amazon and Google Play GC's off there so can personally vouch for them. Plus if you plan on spending a ton on gift cards, they've got a cashback points system, so for example if you spend $1,000 on Giftcards, you'll get back around $25.
Not great, but better than getting back nothing.
