Any tips for a sorta new guitar player?

I have been playing my classic guitar for around 6 months now,yet I still feel like I am progressing way to slowly than what I intendo to.
I know the basic chords and can flatpick quite a bit of easy to medium songs,and pick on individual ones aswell.
Still,I feel like I know nothing.
For example,I tried to learn fingerpicking but it is insanely hard to do,but so rewarding at the same time.
Do you guys have any tips on how to improve faster,or if you are experienced at it,tell me on how you came to your god level of playing guitar.

I really would apreciatte it,cause I am freaking stressing over this,cause nothing on the internet seems to be good enough,and tutors and very expensive.

-Practice fingerpicking aa much as you can. Once you hone down your "eye-to-hand-to-hand" coordination, you will unlock a new path for so many genres.
-Learn how to read sheet music and study music theory
-Memorise all the notes in the fretboard
-learn as many chord voicings and positions
-join a local jazz band. There you can learn a lot

I first learned how to play Metallica's "Nothing else matters", i spent like 5 months trying to play it properly, but once i got it down, i was able to learn new songs much faster

Damm,thats a Good idea..

Personally I use rocksmith. Yes you can sometimes strum and it won't register but the tutorial section can teach a lot and help you understand everything and then obviously you can play real songs while in the process...of not I would look some things up on YouTube to help you out

Also check out "ultimate guitar tabs and chords" they have every song broken down in tabs and chords I use that to learn new songs

Keep learning harder and harder fingerpicking songs and eventually you'll be a pro.

Try what I call as 'intense practice'.
What this is is taking any song you can already play, and try to 'perfect it'.
Play it over and over and hone the techniques involved and try to improve every aspect of it.

6 months is still pretty fresh, just have patience.
I went through the same ordeal thinking I wasn't learning, but after about 4 or 5 years of practice I could play pretty much anything.

Try to learn this song for example:

I'm not sure exactly how good you are, this might be impossible for you.

You also don't have to go the full 5 finger classical fingerpicking style.
For example I use only 3 (thumb, index, and middle), but use 4 occasionally if the song calls for it.

Most classical songs can be managed with only thumb and index, and those are the two you should mainly focus on early on, at least personally.
There are millions of ways to play the guitar, and some master guitarists use techniques considered 'wrong' by other guitarists.

Make it your own, play the way you want.
You'll improve with time.

dayum i wish i played guitar... but when i played saxophone i took classes outside of school as well as inside school and i managed to improve a shit ton within 4 months. basically i would just constantly try and play new songs. i would never perfect them because at that point its just muscle memory. i had to be sharp and develop my dexterity as well as music reading skills.

Any tips for a sorta new guitar player?
