I was wondering, I just bought a laptop, a Helios 300 second hand from craiglist and I was wondering if maybe I could do a SE with it?
It's under warranty but I haven't seen many people talking about Acer recently

I wouldn't try it.
^, maybe you could REFUND the laptop but assuredly not SE it, unless you know what you're really doing. Acer's not a stupid company like HP; I've tried and they're pretty stringent on having to send back the laptop and all since it's a thousand plus dollars. Not really worth the effort.
