[Skype] Windows App vs. Desktop

Windows App version of Skype
pros

sleek, compact and modern design
the unneeded options bar and buttons at the top are removed
smoother scrolling through chat
"Skype name matched"
no need to send requests and wait responses, chats are sent immediately to the user

cons

fairly buggy
unresponsive at times
search/chat bars can lag or become unresponsive
chat preview does not work half the time and shows the wrong chat at times
status always shown as invisible if alt-tabbed

Desktop version of Skype
pros

less buggy than app version
accurate status updates (online/away at desktop)
more compact chat box

cons

no chat preview
no smooth-scrolling
annoying ads/status screen

which one do you guys prefer, i prefer desktop mode but been using app version because when its not buggy its nice.
tbh im actually very curious as to what the community thinks

ikr lol, i dont like skype but its just slightly better than telegram and those other im's because it keeps track of who deleted their messages and imposters easier to identify

For me it's just like people who use skype think to themselves:

"Hey, I just love using this buggy, Microsoft owner piece of shit. I love its poor security, shitty visuals and the need for a Microsoft account"
