Hello MPGH Community!
Im thinking about building up my own PC because my old laptop Im using is getting weak.
A few years ago I was able to play high end games on that laptop! I thought every game wouldnt be a problem, but that changed.
Now I cant play any game, without my laptop is overheating. Its so hot, I could fry food on it.

So I decided to ask a friend who knows a lot about PCs. He created a list with all things I need.
- CPU - AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor (~175$)
- CPU Cooler - Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (~28$)
- Motherboard - Asus - PRIME B350-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard (~90$)
- Memory - Kingston - ValueRAM 16GB (1 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (~158$)
- Storage - Kingston - A400 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (~62$)/ Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (~60$)
- Video Card - EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card (~320$)
- Case - Fractal Design - Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case (~40$)
- Power Supply - EVGA - BQ 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (~56$)
- Optical Drive - Samsung - SH-224GB/BSBE DVD/CD Writer (~15$)
Total: ~1.004$
This build should be able to handle the upcoming games. But do I really need all of it? I dont even know If I really need a DVD/CD writer, everything is digital in this times.
I would really thank you If you help me improving this list!
Im a star wars fan, so I would love it if you send me a good star war pc case.
I like it simple, I dont want a beast like this here
