CNET has reported that the a famous hacker group SkidRow released a modified executable file and crack, which allows the game to be played without a Internet connection to Ubi’s servers. The same DRM technology that caused problems for many owners that purchased the game and also caused hackers to attack Ubi’s authentication servers at least a few times, causing them to disconnect and rendering games unplayable for lengthy periods of time.
Skid Row was more than pleased to crack Assassin’s Creed 2, however it wanted no credit nor blame for the attack’s on Ubi’s servers, mentioning in an ****** file, that no member of Skid Row would “cause such riot.”
Skid Row did offer Ubisoft a message:
"Thank you Ubisoft, this was quiete [sic] a challenge for us, but nothing stops the leading force from doing what we do. Next time focus on the game and not on the DRM. It was probably horrible for all legit users. We just make their lifes [sic] easier."
Nice story, hackers always win in the end, lmao at the customer bitch slap
Ubisoft has been getting raped by SKid for a while...
