how do ii fix this?

in the new patch when i start up CF it says socketr error: W[2000]L[10053] and i downloaded the CF client again

that use to happen to me its your internet connection or it could be your crossfire.exe
just reinstall

maybe get newest net framework and try to set prioitys to high maybe compabilty mode

I use to have that error after a few days i re installed and it works it might be from new patch so wait another day

off ur modem and then turn on the modem then try crossfire and if it didn't re install the game this works for me

Turn your anti virus off.
Check your internet connection and restart pc.
