comp freezes after playing ca for 10 mins

i think my comp is overheating or some shit when ever i play games man this is bullshit!!

any suggestions???

my fans are turning...

the warranty on my comp was like $200 extra, so i didnt buy it..

am i screwed???

could be a number of things.. if your computer is over heating try leaving the side off your case.. could be the air flow of the fans.. air flow is everything with over heating... your power supply should be the only fan blowing air in, while the rest suck air out.

it could also be a problem with updated software for your computer.. if something isn't up to date or is isn't properly installed, it could freeze your computer when it tries to access the programs.. also software will fuck up its own installation some times.

Err... I'm pretty sure you're both the same person.

Clean out your heatsinks, and put a new layer of heatsink paste to help transfer heat better.

your computer seems pretty darn powerful, but with that power, you need a sufficient cooling system

your CPU 2 is way too high. mine are all 25-40C

Woah. 90 degrees. I don't know how to fix desktop overheating. I have a laptop with a laptop stand and a fan.

CPU2 doesnt have a cooling fan? o.o

I have isolated the problem to the GPU.

well i alt-tabbed out after playing ca for about 8 minutes and it was at 104C i was like omg!

the video card has it's own little fan and seems to be running fine. i dont know what to do.

and i have 4 cpu's so maybe with this program its showibg 2 of them as one or some thing.

I noticed my comp did not have a case fan, so i scavenged one off my old HP, i thenstacked another fan on top of my CPU fan XD. so it running a little cooler now but my GPU is overheating like a lil bitch. i was thinking of some how attatching my extra cpu fan to my gpu with like electrical tape or something.. wtf i'm soo fucking pissed off... this comp is only like 7 months old.

only thing i havent tried is taking off the little fan on the GPU and cleaning dust out of the heat sink.. the dam shit is so delicate, im afraid to break it.

uhhh.. get a proer designed computer?
the 8gbs ram is nice... but its wasted on a computer without a proper cooling system.

i have google this shit too... many asus comps have this problem...

and no help there...
