Solution against cyberattacks is to not own anything electronic and stick to offline systems. Cyberattacks today are just one of those things that are inevitable. Doesn't matter how rich you are, you can still be a victim. Look at Jeff Bezos.

how does cyber attack works on normal people?

Cyber attack can happen even offline (i.e. dropped USB on purpose), so be careful whether online or off.
