[Question]BASIC vs Visual Basic (VB) vs Power Basic

What are the differences between Basic (nothign else, just basic). Like if i look up BASIC programming tutorials and i find it, what is that?

Then, what is VIsual basic? Like microsoft stuff and all that mess.

Then, what exactly is power basic. I know it can be googled, but those guys give all these "smartsy" answers saying stuff I don't understand.

can you guys explain this? and if you know the difference between C++ and Visual C++ can you explain that too?
