For all of the people blabbing on about McCain being the same thing as bush, I just have to say: Stop listening to Michael Moore and your 13 year old friends at school. Honestly, people can't see past McCain being a republican and believing in national security, other than that they know nothing about him.
I would personally rather a man who is qualified to run the country and deal with national security problems rather than a man who believes in sitting down and talking with terrorist organizations to solve problems (PRO TIP: if someone hates the US enough to fly an airplane into your country, they most-likely won't yield to "Hey, let's be friends")

I don't agree with most things that Obama promises, like giving Socialized healthcare and his hyped up Economic relief program (which is just simply a series of routines that have been used by other presidents in the past). He also believes that we need to get our troops out of Iraq immediately, and as we all know going into a country and taking down it's government but leaving before we can assist in making a new one is a great idea.

But, the election is over... Obama won because republicans got the sour vote.

Can any of you who claim Obama being a socialist define socialism for me? And which policies that Obama is proposing are socialistic?

Also, someone said earlier " McCain served this country" as a reason for him to be President. How does fighting for your country QUALIFY you to be president? What does the President do that relates to being in the military. Commander-in-chief listens to the Generals and makes decisions based on briefings, not past experiences.

But I'm glad Dick Cheney shot that man - he finally got some combat experience. Bush the Deserter still hasn't.

And what exactly gave McCain his qualifications of national security? Being in the military has nothing to do with national security policy.

EDITED: Also, McDawt, can you define socialized medicine for me and also how Obama's plan specifically relates to it? And can you please list specifically how France's and the UK's socialized medicine systems don't work.

That is just a bit naive to think isn't it. I mean saying that sitting down and talking to your enemies who have taken thousands of American lives (and lives from other countries as well) can do nothing but help the situation sounds sanguine to me.... As I said, trying to reason with someone who wants to destroy your country seems hopeless.

I never said that being in the military made McCain a better candidate, or better with N.S for that matter. I think that his policies are more realistic, not just a plan made to appease to all of the people who think that the world is a perfect place and that everything can be solved with diplomatic discussions. I don't know about you, but if someone bombed my country i'd want to find who did it and not sit down and say "Hey man, that really wasn't that nice. Can you not do it again? Pleassssssssse?"

Also, Obama wants us to get out of Iraq ASAP... That would be like taking all of the police force out of an entire country and leaving everyone at eachother's throats.

socialized-medicine:A government-regulated system for providing health care for all by means of subsidies derived from taxation.

Obama plans to provide Health Care plan to "all who need it", rich or poor. To fund this, he adds a tax to those who's annual income is over x dollars. Sooo I guess that plays into the definition pretty well... And I lived in France for 11 years, I can personally say that Socialized medicine is not worth it...

Think of it like this: with a hospital that the government pays for, things would be like going to the DMV; you wait in line for 3 and a half hours to get seen, and when you are in there they rush you along because they have to get everyone done as quickly as possible.

McCain crashed three or four planes in the Navy, I am not sure which. He was a bad soldier. And if you are going to base your vote on whether they served in the army or not, then you have hundreds of thousands of canidates.
