I can't wait for the day when Cross Platform Online Play will become Possible! This will open up a new way to play online but as it stands both companies are too selfish to do this Right Now but when the day comes it will be a Good learning Curve for both PS3 and Xbox Users!
Sincerely, Xion7200
If it was to start right now, MS would lose a good majority of their players. Who would pay for xbox live to play with their friends if they can just get a PS3 and do it free?
Eh. I'd love this, but hate it at the same time.

Would be infair on both systems
People prefer Xbox Controllers - Game advantage to them
PS3 F2P -more players play there
if they went cross platform they would need to include pc and pc wud shit on all console for fps
itd really show who was the best gamer and idk if theyd lose their players because with that $7 monthly you get first in lines for shit likeeeee the DLC on blackops etc
PC>PS3>XBOX now imagine cross platform..
you will all get raped with the amount of PC hackers..hahah
Will not happen. Possibly some PS3 <-> Xbox events will come around, but I doubt anything "permanent" will come to be =/

Yea, true, cuz it would suck.
You got a PC with hacks
He hacks
He gets blamed
Now Steam ban him
Same thing for XBOX and PS3
Just a lot of banning and shit online gaming
they should do cross-platform with pc and xbox. they both owned by microsoft
They just announced that developers will be experimenting a linked Code for Xbox360 and Playstation 3 to Connect together, + Side, Xbox will be able to connect with PC players, PS3 may not be able to due to theyre code. Servers would be down if they changed it.
A PS3 and X-Box 360 cross-platform is highly possible as you can now actually get a X-box 360 style controller for the PS3. The only difference between x-box 360 and ps3 is the quality of games, the hardware (ps3 has better internal graphics which doesn't impact the FPS much anyways because it upholds a higher definition) and the type of games. They wouldn't be able to include PC's as mouse's have a higher DPI then obviously an analog stick. The only problem is Sony and Microsoft are too stubborn to merge servers.
Portal 2 PS3, Steam cross-platform play!
The PlayStation 3 version of Valve's upcoming first-person puzzler Portal 2 features cross-platform play and chat with the Steam PC and Mac versions.
It also boasts persistent cloud-based storage of game saves.
Additionally, the PS3 version unlocks the Steam Play version free of charge when gamers link their PlayStation Network and Steam accounts.
"We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PS3 would be the best console version of the product," said Valve boss Gabe Newell.
"Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases."
Portal 2 project lead Josh Weier added: "We designed the Portal 2 PS3 experience to be very straightforward for gamers.
"PS3 gamers will be able to simply drop the Blu-ray disc in the PS3, link to their Steam account from inside the game, and all their Steam friends (on PC and Mac) will be visible and accessible for chat and game invites."
they tried this with xbox 360 and PC if i remember correctly and it failed miserably. though i am proud to say taht it is possible to play WoW with a wired Xbox 360 controller
sonny would most likely abandon ps3. due to the fact that it ha recently been hacked to shits and they are working on upogradeing security. so dont see why they would be wasteing time on makeing it compatible with cross platform.
