I want to make my tool overlay combat arms.. how do i do this
d3d is the only way to go.
Yep, you can't do it without D3D.
You can but it's ugly. D3D is your best approach.
I also suggest everyone takes a look at proxy dll with their GPP, it allows you to easily hook text into dx games. I also suggest EasyHook and SlimDx , do some research , it's not as hard as some would think.
