Map and AUG Glitches Debrief

Combat Arms is an online game, and as such, there will be bugs present from time to time. Rest assured that our team is and will be fixing these as soon as possible after they are reported. But in the mean time, exploiting a bug to gain unfair advantage is considered glitching, is unsportsmanlike, and is a violation of the Nexon EULA.

MAP GLITCH

In the recent days, map glitches were present that allowed users to fire from certain illegitimate locations without the risk of taking fire. Due to spectating GMs and vigilant players, many of those who abused the glitch were reported and logged.

For abusing this glitch, the following players (listed by In-Game Name) have been demoted back to Trainee, and have had their gains confiscated:

AUG ASSAULT RIFLE GLITCH

The AUG Assault Rifle has not been officially released for purchase, and the glitch allowing it to be bought has been fixed. Because it is a standard base weapon, it is considered a balanced weapon for all users and while using it before release is unfair, its actual use in combat gives no unfair gameplay advantage to users.

However, because this is still an illegitimate purchase as of now, all previously purchased AUGs will expire during the patch. No GP used towards buying this weapon will be reimbursed.

REPORTING GLITCHERS

Players who exploit glitches or use hacks are unacceptable to us and degrade the game environment for all legitimate users. Please continue to report, along with any corroborating evidence, to allow us to take more actions against abusers. (The best way to do this is through the Customer Service ticketing system.) We will also be creating a special section of the forums for reporting, which we will be monitoring regularly.

For meritorious service in accurately identifying and reporting abusers through the proper channels, the following soldiers have been award the Combat Recon Medal. These players will be awarded an in-game bounty of 7,500 GP for their actions.
