Here are my reccomendations for anime that I'm pretty sure fit all audiences.
Shonen:
*One Piece: STRONG WORLD*
-In numbers more people are shonen fans so shonen is first.
One Piece is without a doubt my favorite of the shonen 3 and this is the only movie out of them that relates directly to the story, has great animation, and was actually very well done storywise along with action. Like one piece's theme, they must rescue nami(again) and i feel this is the only drawback, in almost every battle they must rescue someone. That is probably the only downside, and to be honest its a must watch for all Shonen Fans.
Ecchi
*Bakemonogatari*
This series not only is ecchi to a mutiple of taste, it probably is one of the best in terms of art and characters. This is personally my favorite anime of all time, yet it is definitely something that can appeal to a wide variety. To be honest, it isn't the simple "big boobs grope" ecchi that 90% of this category is made out of though, so if your looking for that, i suggest you just read a doujin anyway.
Comedy
*Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt*
This anime is probably one of the greatest comedy anime of all time. First off, it has a huge range on parodies, ranging from Transformers to Nirvana to K-ON! to..........well, lets just say it has a lot. It is made by gainax, so right away you know its good.(gainax is the pixar of the anime world incase you didn't know). The Ending is albeit one of the most surprising things i've seen since EoE, and I personally was not expecting it at all. That being said the animation is a little western, but it makes up for it undoubtedly with the content.
Thats about all the anime categories that i have to recommend atm.

Well One Piece has literally the most abstract figures. Yet people complain about boobs. Ironic.

It was good, but lacked romance.
Seemed like it would have some, so I was a bit dissapoint.
