opening rar files

for some reason maybe its me i open a rar file then it promps if you want to save or run everytime i do either i just starts over and asked the same thing how can i fix that if somebody could help that would be great it could also be the way its being opened

Winrar is needed to open a .rar file.

Use Winrar. And if you're trying to open that file and it's not it could be:
1. Bad Unzip program
2. Bad File
