[Tip]Reduce lag dramatically

This is pretty simple, you simply go into your combat arms folder/game and delete the textures, I did this and my FPS went up about 15 from like 25 on two towers, that's a pretty good damn bit. This is easy to play with and players are extremely distinguishable without chams. There are 4 files, which I just deleted so I dont know the names atm..*ding* recycle bin <. They are: TEXFX.rez, TextureEffectGroups.rez, Textures.rez, TextureScripts.rez.

You won't fall through the floor or anything, don't worry :O.

Post what you want, IDC, I'm probably not gonna visit this thread again. BTW, for people who didnt know, you can decompile .rez files with WinRez, google it. You will get a message saying its not a valid .rez file, some encryption is there. I dunno how to crack it, although its usually possible in a hex editor. If you could get in there you could decrease the damage of everything so that their weapons wouldnt do much to you, but theirs aren't changed so they still take full damage from you. You could also check items like tactical vest and see if they have any bonuses, and what they are. Tons of info we don't know is in there :P GL.

EDIT: They will get redownloaded when you restart combat arms anyway. So don't worry about fucking it up. Btw, Start the launcher then delete them so it doesnt patch them, the main part I left out. Irnubmoare.

im not gonna lie, the better graphic card/new computer would be obvious idea, BUT for those who can't/won't, this kinda would help

Just throw the files in a folder on your desktop if it doesn't work just put them pack...

yeah this works, i was doin this before i got chams just cuz its really helpful even if ur not tryin to fix lag(like me), only downside is that it makes it damn ugly

to reduce my lag i changed screen settings to 800x600 and 16 bit

Reduced lag a lot :P. This helps, considering some PC's run on integrated chipset(very laggy).

I play on a laptop and I still never go below 50fps, maxed settings, 1440x900 res...

You must have really sucky computers IMO

All it did for me was start downloading them when i tried to run game lol... anyway around that?

just save a notepad file with the name of the file u r replacing and it wont download anything everytime u start ca....

(just to make sure, dont forget to save it as .rez)
