the cmos chip holds the instructions for booting up a computer with out the computer wont boot point blank that simple. so no cmos = no computer till u send it back to the company to get the cmos reconfigured

Actually the you cannot do that to the CMOS chip. He probably just deleted your Boot.ini file in your Windows folder.. This guy is such a noob, he has no control whatsoever. Whoever got fucked in the A by this is retarded and you do not deserve to be on a computer.. I recomend you disable your System Restore, beacause for one, Viruses love to use that as a hiding place. I would download Avast Free Edition and run a schedual boot scan. Or go into safe mode and scan. Backup files and do a clean install if you want.
