Merchant Guide:
THINGS YOU WILL NEED
-Shop permit (or mushy)
-Auto Chatter
-Patience (Merching can be boring as hell)
I have a lot of experience merching, and have had well over max mesos on multiple accounts. With this guide, you will be able to start with ZERO mesos, and end up with over 100m by the end of the week. Once you have 100m+, getting to your first billion is a piece of cake
Alrighty then, lets get started...
First off, You're going to need to buy a shop permit. It is a MUST. I'ts only 1.8k NX, and it will pay for itself in literally 2 days.
TIP: Make sure you merch in a well populated server. My favorite one is Broa. tons of buyers, and you can still get decent FM spots.
The world you play in doesn't have to be the world you merch in. You can use the MTS to transfer mesos to NX, and Nx back to mesos/items in your other server. I'll go into further detail later.
Okay, now that you have your shop permit, and have picked a world to merch in, lets start makin that money!
TIP: Haha, if you want an extra edge, make your character a girl, and name her like "KrissyFM" or something like that. You would be surprised how willing people are to just give girl characters mesos and items, if you ask them.
Gotta start somewhere
This is for people who are starting with ZERO mesos. If you already have a couple mil, then skip ahead to part 2.
First off, you're going to need to get your character to at least level 16. (if you're 15 or under, you can only trade 1m per day)
There are a few ways to get money. You can either be a typical noob, and just "Mesars ploxxxxx" to all the high levels you see (this works pretty well) or you can train, and find some potential equips that could sell for like 100k or whatever.
I personally don't give a shit if people think I'm a noob or not, so I just ask for mesos. Make sure you have a decent story. Don't just say "MESOS PLEEEEEEZ" because everybody hates those people.
Say something like this: "Hi :] I just came from a different server, and I'm super poor... :[ I don't have any pots left, and I keep dying... can you spare a few mesos, or any extra potions?"
Make sure to be well mannered, and use lots of smileys! (since you're a girl) haha
Surprisingly I've made a couple mil doing this, but its all about luck.
Once you get about 300k mesos, you can start the real fun... SPAMMING!
This is where the auto chatter comes in handy.
What were gonna do, is buy a shit ton of leathers, make them Into work gloves, and sell them for lots of mesos.
Using your auto-chatter, spam "B>LEATHERS @
@@@..."
you should be able to buy them for around 1-2k each, but never buy them for more than 3k.
buy as many leathers as you can afford. That means if you have 400k mesos, buy leathers until you have *16k mesos. (So you can afford to make the gloves. There you go Draken)
The greater your initial investment, the greater your profit.
Once you have lots of leathers, head over to Kerning city to turn them into Work gloves.
talk to JM from the streetz.
It costs 1,000 mesos, and 15 leathers to make a work glove.
TIP: If you MMC hack at stirges, you can get a full inventory of work gloves in a matter of hours. (With item filter of course) Thank you HOTD
We are going to be selling them for 300k-500k mesos.
Lets say we make 16 work gloves. Thats a full shop. it costs approximately 480k to make the work gloves.
Lets say we sell them for 500k each. we make a total of 8m in revenue. that is 7.52m profit! (this is good)
so in a single night, you went from having no mesos, to 7.5 Mil!
You can repeat this process until you have about 15-20m. then we move on to the real merching.
Middle class
We should now have around close to 20m. If you did things right, it should be your 2nd or 3rd day of merching.
Now we are going to make larger investments, therefore getting a larger return.
TIP: My favorite thing to merch, is ATT work gloves, and scrolls.
A good understanding of prices is KEY to making money.
I would advise that before you start buying scrolls, take a few minutes to walk around different FM's, and see what other people are listing their items for, and which items have sold.
TIP: write that shit down! It will help you in the future. make a chart or something of that sort.
A good thing to start off with is 6 att work gloves. prices range from server to server, but you can usually make about 3 or 4m profit on each one.
Lets say some guy is selling one for 11m. you talk him down to 9m. It sells in your store overnight for 13m.
BAM you just made 4m profit. (this is good)
a good way to check prices of scrolls, is by looking in FM's 1-3. you will probably be able to sell the same scrolls in other FM's for about 2m less.
so make sure when you buy that scroll, you are paying about 4m less than what it is currently selling for in FM 1-3.
TIP: Be smart about what you buy. If you're only going to make 100k profit on something, then it is not worth the time and effort of re-selling it. Try to stick to a 1-2m minimum profit range to see if something is worth buying and re-selling.
TIP: Always try to reach zero mesos when you open up your shop! this means that you want to invest as much of your money as possible. Think about it... if you have 20m left over, that could be used to make an additional 5m profit!
What you buy and sell depends on how much money you have. Here are some things to buy and sell depending on your price range.
20-40m: 60% scrolls, 6-7 att wg's, potential scrolls, Ilbis.
40-100m: Better 60% scrolls, 8-10 att wg's, chaos scrolls.
TIP: If you are unsure of the price of an item DO NOT BUY IT
don't be afraid to cancel a few trades.
Keep Buying and selling items like this, and in about 5 more days you should have close to 100m. (I know this works, because I have done this countless times)
TIP: Don't take things personally. Being a merch, it is your duty to offer as low as possible! there will be plenty of Douches that will say "LAWL OMFG NOOB FUCK YOU HAHAHAHAHA LAW LOLOLOL NOOB!!"
Fuck them. Cancel that shit son. They are poor, and you are rich.
So as we wrap up week one, we should be close to 100m.
Now that we have a larger amount of mesos, we are going to have to spend a greater ammount of time spending all of those mesos.
It will take more time spamming, but you will make a much greater profit.
Your next 100m will come in about 3-4 days this time!
Big spender
I will be adding more to part three as soon as possible. It's a little vague, so I'm sorry
you should now have 100m+
We are going to focus on making much greater investments now.
Best ways to make money is buying things like 10-15 att wg's (whatever you can afford.)
Lets say you see some guy spamming "S>13 att wg @@@
..." for about 30 minutes.
He is bored. He wants to go train or do some other shit. He will be much more likely to sell you the WG at a way lower price than what it is worth.
Never be rude when offering. Always say hello, and use your manners. It's really not that hard to be polite.
TIP: Items will always sell for a great deal more in a shop, than in the FM entrance. This is because of convenience. Nobody wants to waste 3 hours waiting for somebody in the FM to have an item, just to save a few mil. Use this laziness to your advantage.
So lets say you buy a work glove that is worth 200m in the FM entrance for 190m. You can go around and sell it in your shop for 220m. You just made 30m profit. (this is good)
Once you have 200m+ you can be makin at least 50m profit a day. the more mesos you have, the more profit you make.
So if you have 1b mesos, you could be making 250m a day.
The rich get richer
Finding a spot
A good spot is not necessary, but it will help you sell your items faster.
When looking for a spot, don't even bother looking in FM's 1-6. (Depends on server)
Ideal spots are FM 7-9, and FM 13-15.
Obviously Door spots are the best, and anything on the bottom row is good too.
People often under-estimate how good a door spot in FM 14-15 really is.
TIP: When picking a shop name, try to make it somewhat appealing to the eye... don't make it like "S>SCROLLS,GFA,GLOVES,EQUIPS,OHMNOMNOMNOM". Try and space it out so that the words are either completely on the top line, or completely on the bottom line.
Be prepared to leave your computer on for long periods of time.
Yes this might annoy some people, but if you want to sell a lot of shit, you're gonna want your shop to be open for as long as possible.
TIP: Make your merch character on a different account, so that you can merch and train at the same time.
