What is a key logger?

Can someone please tell me what a Keylogger is and what it does?

It gets into you computer and memorizes something you type in like a password.
Say you sign on to your bank account, it can get you username and password and send it back to whomever.

Basically it's a program that keeps track of the keys you press on your key board, so you can obtain peoples passwords to accounts, and other various information.

A malicious code that tracks mainly your keyboard movements.

Ohh really I better watch out... I downloaded the Public Bypass thing that was just put on the form...

A KeyLogger is a program that records every keystroke you type, anywhere, any key, it's quite dangerous if you got it from a unwanted software or file because that person who created the file might have added it in and he can recieve and thing you type includes passwords, accounts, pins, and other stuff
