Alright... I've searched and searched and haven't been able get them to work on my mac. I have an up-to-date version of minecraft and haven't missed an update. I just wanna build, not worried about survival. I'm not particularly tech savvy
so I'm asking for a little help. Can someone point me in the direction of a inv editor?

Inside job works like Invedit, but TMI would be a better option than both of those anyways.
