And which statistics would those be? And as already mentioned, someone who does lots of trades is not necessarily more trusted than one with less. There's no need to fake vouches when you can do $1 trades a hundred times a day
For Credibility it would be based on the thanked/# posts ratio, and on the number of download views. For Loyalty (trusted level) it would be based off the Vouch system, and as with the current Vouch Subsection: a minimum of $5 is required.
If we catch members faking their vouches in any way, they will be permanently banned or their Loyalty bar will be set to a negative score.
I am sure this would scare off most members, and the risks are there if they decide to do this anyway.

My credibility far surpasses 99.9% of the people that I encounter, yet I do not release hacks, whore thanks or get downloads in any other way. Not to mention that I'm probably more loyal to MPGH than 99.9% of the <1k posters that have done shitloads of trades.
How exactly is this system reflecting that? If anything it's showing the exact opposite.

How can you catch fake vouches? I can do 100 $5 trades with my brother in one day, all completely legit.
We should just wait for this vouch system that both of us suggested.
It has more information about the trade, asks for url of the thread, give postives and negatives, comments to add, and more.
In that vouch system, anyone can easily spot if someone's vouches are reliable/legit or not. Other sellers/buyers can also look each others profile and check out their vouches if they have any.

True, having a reliable Vouch system would definetely help.
Let's wait for VB4 then
What do you think, should a Loyalty bar be added?

Loyalty would have nothing to do with the marketplace, I could be an excellent trader but at the same time the head admin of a rival site. As I already mentioned, marketplace-related things should stay in the marketplace and not make their way into user profile fields etc.

At first I called it 'Trusted Level', but I wanted to get rid of 'level', so instead I wanted to pick 'Trustworthiness' but decided to use 'Loyalty'. So even if the member is active on a rival website, it would show us how trustworthy he is during trades
The trust bar should be available only for people above 5k posts? that way we know we have matured people that dont cheat the system o.o

I believe we can expect from members with atleast 5,000 posts that they are a bit more trusted already. The system should help out the members with a lower # posts aswell, so that they can 'build a name' in the marketplace

But if it Dave decides to use this everywhere (even outside the marketplace) it would cause confusion because loyalty != trustworthiness.

The reason it should also stay in the marketplace. I still stand by the idea that the marketplace trustworthiness is measured on either a special page (like the experience portal), within a Marketplace sticky or in a manner that's only visible in the marketplace
I don't fully support.
Its basically rep, which means that people would do t4t(trust for trust )
@Alen I see where you are coming from, and I must say now that you have explained your side to me I sort of agree. There is no way around it getting abused unless we had a full time staff in the Market place designated strictly to MM trades and give out rep. That would be too much considering the amount of power they would have, I'm sure some would become corrupt.

Seeing rep4rep basically has stopped after Liz's warning, I don't see why it wouldn't work on that part.
However, a Feedback system similar to the one from eBay might be a better idea. Let's wait for VB4 first
I love this idea, but here is a situsation ( I will use HE , for the cause ) : HE do some good trade, legit and everything, using an MM. Once HIS reputation bar is high, people will trust him. Trading without MM, and they will get scammed.

You would be surprised at how many people still r4r, the only thing her (staff) warning was to kill it among staff.
