NOTE: This only works with a legit client.

Minecraft can be started command-line.
It can be done so by making a batch file (Windows) and entering some information.
Here is the format.
Minecraft.exe <username> <password> <serverip:serverport>
If my name was "player", password was "theword" and server "000.000.000.000:00000", I would type:
Minecraft.exe player theword 000.000.000.000:00000
If the server has DNS, just put the host in. Port is not required if the server's port is 25565
If my server address was "server.com:00000", then the format would be:
Minecraft.exe player theword server.com:00000
