*~ Cross Fire Map Tactics ~*
Compound S&D
Welcome to my first Map Tactics tutorial for Cross Fire. This maybe will be a successful series, but probably not.
This first map I'll bring you is
Compound S&D!
Here is the "main route" map we will be using and discussing for this tutorial:
"Main Route":
You might not understand it, but we'll go through it :P
Key:
Lines mean the main path.
Circles are viewing areas or checking areas.
Squares are scouting areas.
Triangles are camping spots.
Star means end point.
Arrows are possible flanking routes.
? means it's a possible route, but you don't have to take it.
GLOBAL RISK TACTICS "MAIN ROUTE"
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
A high fire rate gun should do for close range. Snipers can also work.
GR will start by directly going northwest to B site and continuing on west until they have the option to turn right and go north. Here comes the first checking area. Wait here for a short amount of time to see if any BL are coming. Instead of heading right into the large area, there is a window to the left inside and outside you can use. This is somewhat safer than heading directly into battle.
IMPORTANT: Try to take as much cover going through this area if you are using a short range gun, there could be snipers waiting on the opposite side. If using a mid-long range gun, you won't need as much cover. Also, beware of any Black List coming from the east, as they will have a strong flanking advantage if they happen to come through there.
After you have checked the area, you can either move north or east. I think east is better, but you can try going north too. If you take the east route, there is a wide checking area. Make sure this area is completely clear before wandering.
After clearing the BL again, you can either go north or south. The north route can get you a possible flank, but can be somewhat more dangerous. If you take the south route, you will be back to base where you can protect A and B. Continue to check the scouting area to kill any threats to the bomb sites. If you have a team, the north route is recommended. If soloing, go south.
This route is most optimal for smaller teams or soloing. You can split up when you have the option which will further increase killing efficiency and flanking opportunities.
BLACK LIST TACTICS "MAIN ROUTE"
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
Any high-powered weapons. Sniper works well too.
Black List members will start by leaving the spawn, and going west then south where Black List will have many advantages over any Global Risk there. A sniper is recommended for this route with a team, but you can also use a strong automatic weapon instead. Here you can throw grenades and check for any Global Risk. There are also some strong camping points here that you can use. The window to the right is also a good choice for slaying any rushing Global Risk.
When you have felt comfortable enough, continue to move to A site, and be very cautious of any Global Risk protecting A. Checking corners and behind boxes are important.
If you want, you can split up and some of your team can move out the window and the others can continue to take the more direct path to A. This is sometimes efficient, but sometimes not. It can bring up some creative flanks if done right, but this is not common with this route.
Once you have gotten to A and have cleared the checking areas, I recommend re-grouping, but you don't have to. Your team can either plant at A, or continue to scout the area and maybe plant at B.

There is just one more route I want to discuss. The main route is recommended for general or solo purposes, and works with almost any bag, but I want to also give you another route you can try.
"Alternate Route":
The alternate route somewhat counter-attacks the main routes, but a team is highly recommended.
GLOBAL RISK TACTICS "ALTERNATE ROUTE"
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
Any high-damage weapons or sniper. Weapons like M60, AK-47, and AWM should work well here.
This route is a lot simpler, but it's easier said than done. Make sure you and your team are using powerful weapons before taking this path.
First, Global Risk takes a direct path east, then north into a room. It is highly likely that Black List will be waiting right outside, so safety is taken into consideration when trying to fight them off. This could be done by a little bit of camping and taking turns checking outside, and quickly retreating after dealing some damage. A grenade can be thrown too. This route isn't very convenient, but with a team and some massive skill, this is the best route. It's a very risky route, though.
If you happened to survive long enough, going back to A is an ideal choice, and from there you can scout & defend the bomb sites.
BLACK LIST TACTICS "ALTERNATE ROUTE"
RECOMMENDED WEAPONS:
Accurate weapons will work here, like the K-2.
This route is more of a rush route. It's not as hard as the alternate Global Risk route, but is still pretty risky.
Global Risk exits the spawn and keeps moving south. Cover can be taken behind the box-shaped thing... ( Sorry I don't remember what it is and I'm too lazy to check in game! ) This will be your primary spot for camping, and checking for enemies. Going BEHIND the box-shaped thing, get your reflexes going, and get ready to shoot any Global Risk from the right / west or any taking the direct opposite path / south. It's excellent if you can get your team to split up here.
After that, go up in the tower and check the direct area for any Global Risk. This is an excellent position to be in by evaluation, but DO NOT STAY LONG. Check and kill very quickly, then leave through the window fast. You will take some fall damage, but it will be worth it. Sneaking in the Global Risk spawn, be prepared for any Global Risk, and check the B site. As noted on the map, don't go to B site, just check it.
If any team mates have been killed taking the west path to B site, then enter B site and try to kill them, or continue to A.
Extra Note: There are a lot of split-up routes in this route, but I did not list them because I think they should be easy enough to find on your own.
Continue east to A site and check A site for Global Risk. Now the planting & scouting can be done.

That's all I have to say for this map. I hope you were able to take something out of this and you are getting higher K/Ds with this, or more wins with your team

.
Of course these are base-routes. You should develop on these with your team or alone and come up with the best strategy and bag(s).
Please leave feedback, suggestions, MAP SUGGESTIONS, and comments, and maybe tell me if this improved your game any.
