[Suggestion] Purchasing Sub-stickies

The idea is rather simple, being able to purchase sub-stickies in (a) certain section(s).
This example is based of the Marketplace section, in which it would help immensely for members having a big sale, or just waiting for the right customer(s).
A sub-stickie will appear as '[Featured]', under the regular stickies but above the regular posts.

Regulations:

A member can have a maximum of 'X' (sub-)stickies per section.
One (sub-)stickie will cost 'X', and will be handled manually.

Example in the Marketplace:

At first that would be the idea, after VB4 has launched in the Experience Shop (together with name-/titlechanges etc). Although, perhaps it's better to handle these manually to prevent it from being abused

Buying them with credits would mean that people would have to spam or abuse the system to get them, especially since most traders aren't general cavers or spammers. Having people buy them with real money would be an overkill on the other hand. Either way I don't see how this could end that well, but if anything I support the credit purchasing idea. Might aswell abuse my high post count for something

It would cost real money, since it's meant to raise some funds for MPGH, plus we can't possibly have that many stickied threads at the same time. If we would use the Credits system we'd have a waiting line I guess

Also, Dave already agreed on this but I was just looking for some feedback and perhaps additional ideas ('will this be applied just for the Marketplace?')

Dunno how popular it would be if it's paid for by real money, especially since the forum is full of 12 year olds and the such. I would personally prefer to see these only in the marketplace & hack release sections, everywhere else they would most likely cause more damage than good

I doubt people will pay X amount of real money to stick their sales thread. Most sales thread are under $50 and they just want to get money not waste it. Only a few might have over $50 sales thread but it doesn't mean they'll pay X amount of real money to sticky their sales thread. There's also the free BUMP every 24 hours to get your sales thread more popular/views.

We could atleast give it a try, and there are people who will take advantage of this eventually.

For example, it took me about 3 months to sell this account. I had to wait for someone to come with a decent offer, and others may have wanted to lend a substicky in this case

Looks like an interesting idea. Although, as was said, it seems kinda risky. May cause more bad than good in other sections.
Mostly, I agree with what @Ian and @Alen said, but it still would be an interesting thing to use, if it was somewhat "perfected", I guess. I'm not sure what word I meant to put there.
