How To Mod Weapon Textures (.DTX)

The Things You Need :
DOWNLOAD WILL BE BELOW The Files Are From *_HeadShot_*
IN ATTACHMENTS.

• DTXView
• DTXConvert
• REZInject
• REZXtract
• Photoshop(recommended)
• A Fps Or Offline Game With (.REZ) Files (I'm Using Crossfire) Z8games
• BypassXtrap
  

First Off You Need To Get To The "Crossfire" Folder Which Is In :
[html]C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8games\CrossFire\rez[/html]


While Your In That Folder You Need To Make A Copy Of "RF017.REZ" , Then Make A New Folder Name It What You Want And Paste It In There.



Next You Need To Extract The .Rar File In The Download Link and Then Open Up "REZXtract" And It'll Prompt You To Write The Name Of The ''.REZ'' File You Want To Extract (I'm Using RF017.REZ) So I'll Type RF017.REZ.
NOTE: The .REZ File Needs To Be In The Same Folder As The REZXtract.

Then Hit Enter Then It Will Ask If You Want The Sounds [1] or Textures [2],
Press 2 and Hit Enter.. Then Wait..


It Will Then Take Some Time To Extract The Texture Files (.Dtx) And Will Create Another Folder Named "RF017.REZ_Textures".(It Should Look Like This)


Okay Now If You Want To View Your .DTX Files Then Simply Open DTXView And Drag The DTX File You Want Into DTXView And Look :P.

The Files For PhotoShop CS5 Can Be Downloaded From The Description Of This Youtube Video (They Are Not My Files) :

After You Install The Plugins You Can Then Simply Drag And Drop The .Dtx Files In Photoshop Like So:

Edit The Files However You Want And Then After Your Done Save As Whatever You Want But It Needs To Be In The Same Folder As The Tools. Then You Need To Re-Inject The .DTX Files Into A .Rez File So That You Can Put It Back Into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8games\CrossFire\rez".

Open Up Rez-Injector And Press 2 Then Enter. Type The Name Of The Texture You Want To Replace..
Example: Texture_178.dtx
Then Type The Name Of The Texture You Edited
Example: AWMGOLD.dtx

EXAMPLE :Therefore You Will End up Replacing Texture_178.dtx With AWMGOLD.dtx

Then After Your Done It Will Backup Your Old RF017.REZ And Also Give You The One That You Modded.

After That You Will Be Able To Place It In C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8games\CrossFire\rez.

1 More Thing YOU MUST, MUST HAVE A BYPASS OR IT WONT WORK!

I am using the injector by spongebob. when i try texture_242.dtx (awm texture). it says can't find the file even though RF017.REZ was in the same directory as the injector. can you please help me?
