PS3 Question

Since I got ps3 my graphics on my tv kinda sucks.
Is there any way I can make my graphics 1080p?
Right now im on 480p and I use HDMI cable.
But for strange reason I cant use it and I only use Compresion C or something like that.
Help?

Is there a switch on the HDMI cable? Or did you goto settings on ur ps3 and select 1080p?

Nope not switch. I went to display settings on PS3 and I chosed HDMI and it says something about 30 seconds thing.
I watched youtube videos and they didnt have that message(about 30 seconds) O.o

yes there is But even if i choose HDMI the screen goes back to normal.

Reset Your PS3's Visual Settings by Pressing and Holding Down the On Button, You will hear two beeps. At First it may just turn off automatically, but just press and hold it again and it should reset the visual settings and select the most appropriate cable for output, which in your case is a HDMI.

can your tv even hold 1080p ? just bcz ur ps3 can dont mean ur tv will

check the manual to ur tv .. i guess but other then that idk
