I would literally spend money on it, as long as ZP guns were actually obtainable without having to spend $50. I miss the old Crossfire PS which shutdown a while back, I played it all the time.
Someone please consider taking the time to create another server, I would try myself but have a feeling it would be a great waste of time as I'd have to learn many programming languages, which I've tried to do before.

Dont think u can do that without CF's consent, since ur using CF's name, like im pretty sure they can sue u for it

There was a private server that shutdown in around March 2011, and it had been going alright for about 6 months or so. It was a really good private server, but it was attacked.

The creator would make quite enough money too. From what I know, a lot of people donated to the old server to buy cool stuff that you wouldn't normally see on Crossfire.

Making a private server makes you go through a lot of things. You could be in a lawsuit. You need the client files to make the entire game. You need the money to organize it and then everything in between. Not to mention you need to bring members into it. Every step is hard. Not sure if anyone has thought of considering a private server, but like said it's not easy as you may think it is.
Hopefully a private server will pop up soon - not sure when. But one person will make one, eventually.
Don't mean to close this, but remember that some people have tried making a private server before probably - it didn't work out well for them probably. Like said you need money to keep it running, you have the multiple lawsuits you'll probably get indulged to, and you'll need people to join your server up and running.
