Well, after looking at the thread, there seems to be a fuck up about the price and all. Maybe the seller ain't saying the whole truth. And maybe the buyer is right that the seller is trying to sell for 850M instead of 800M. And since it's bound, you can't just send the weapon back.

And if the buyer wants to pay the 800M but doesn't want to directly send the gold, because he's gonna have like 50M fee, he's waiting for the seller to actually send him a CoD with 800M.
Who knows who is right in this. If the buyer is trying to CoD for 850M instead of 800M, I would understand what the buyer means, as we see in the screens.

And if you send something without CoD, you can't just send it back. And it's bound, so you can't resend in another mail.

I think the problem with being dishonest is that there are no apparent repercussions. If you think you can get away with it, you are a lot more tempted to stay dishonest.

Say in your example, the cashier forgot to scan a really expensive item ($200). Wouldn't you feel guilty for not going back? Wouldn't you keep looking over your shoulder to see if someone, anyone notices, catches you, and turns you in? THEN, there would be obvious consequences and punishments.

The problem with virtual trading is there's not so much fear of getting caught for being dishonest. All you can rely on is a person's honesty.

Turns you in? You ain't going to prison because a cashier forgot to scan something lol. You can easily say you didn't realise and haven't looked precisely at your receipt, like most people will do. And I wouldn't feel guilty, knowing the owner of the store is probably way more rich than me, and it's not because the cashier forgot to scan it that he ain't gonna be able to buy some food next week.

Yeah, honesty can be good. But you can only rely on yourself for making sure you get what you are due. That's the way the society works. You have to make sure you don't make a mistake because there are thieves and scammers every corner.

Why do you think you need a third person to make trades and all. It's because people are not honest and you can't trust anyone.

Nah not sending the cash is scamming. it was a concious effort and he had the money to pay for it. AND there was an agreement. just because the seller made a mistake doesn't mean the agreement is off. Scammer.

I know you can't trust everyone in the world but living as if everyone is out to get you is terrible. It's why this world is still full of people who are willing to do the worst things to eachother and have no concious "they would have done the same thing to me." Have a little faith in humanity and you'll realize there are more GOOD people out there than you think. I'm not saying be naive.. just try and empathize with others and not just shrug them off.

I once had faith in humanity. I don't have much anymore. Things happened in my life that proves that there's only a handful of people that you can trust. And you need to protect your ass from everyone else.

ok, not the problem of the buyer, maybe so, but you could compare this to a situation like on ebay or paypal were some1 pays for something and then just files a claim to get their money back, 90% of the people who "payed" win the dispute, effin dirty people, scum of the earth. finding something and keeping it is one thing, but stuff like this is just wrong.
