Need help getting some mods working

I injected some .dtx files into my game, but now it's not starting up because of corrupted files. Anyone wanna help me?
I followed the instructions to the letter, injected the .dtx files into the right .rez files, then erased the old .rez and changed the .reznew to .rez, but it's still not working.

(Don't judge me, I try to do this kind of thing for most of my games)

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm guessing this is what bypassing is for.
