So I am working on a Cloud Server (Read Below For More Info), but unfortunately I cannot afford a dedicated server, so I am looking for someone who can help me with a Windows Dedicated server. The whole income of the donations that I will get from the project will go to the server owner...
What's this project about?
It practically allows users to submit their files to other machines through the internet, using a private network stream. (Sockets stuff) Users need to register an account and then proceed with the activation of the account (on which they can select if they want a premium account for $1.99/month [up to 1GB file size allowed] or a free account [50MB allowed]). I've got half of the server done, and I think that I will finish the whole project in less than 2 months (since all what I have to do is to add the registration system, design the client, and fix some bugs).
NOTE: All the premium profits will be mine, only the income from the donations will go to the server owner.
EDIT NOTE: Premium incomes will be split in two parts 80% mine and 20% of the server owner. So now the owner of the server gets 20% of the profits plus the incoming donations amount.
So if you are interested please contact me or leave a reply below...^_^
If you actually want someone to let you use their sever, they are going to need MOST of that $1.99(@100 users), just to break even.
Fool.
Or you could rent your own server.

Calm down gingerbaby, some better pays $5 to donate than $1.99/month. So if the project goes on as it should we may have a lot of donations and if the server owner wants more than we can still talk about the price.
here is my opinion
if you have a old pc you can use it as a server
id rather donate to an already successful cloud server.

Well it's a file sharing system in short words, it's like ********e or MegaUpload it just needs its time to grow....But this is safer than the other cloud servers since everything that gets exchanged from a machine to another gets checked and approved by the client software.
@okled Yes I could do that, but I need a very fast internet connection and a high CPU to handle the incoming requests from every client at the same time.
well, hook it up with some fibre optics (speak with ur isp) and maybe.

Well yeah I am actually using that kind of technology but it's pretty crappy here (just 1MBps and it doesn't even reach 100KB/s on download), I am going to give it a shoot anyways...

and i would suggest using Panduit fiber optics.

The difference is that I am porting the whole thing into a client application for windows. It will be easier and also faster to submit your files (since it doesn't upload the content first and then makes the other client to download it, it simply splits your file in different chunks and starts to send them instantly to the other client) and yes I may feature a video player (like you can stream your video from your PC to another one directly).
