Dayz duplicating glitch

u need 2 players and a backpack.

both of the players drop their backpack.
then they pick up the backpack at the same time.
now the 2 players have 2 same backpack without everything in there

i tried it yesterday and it still worked

Just tried and it works perfect and it dups everything in the backpack. Best method I've found so far.

Just a note, after picking up the packs it acts like you're sharing one pack. If you walk away from each other one of you won't be able to open your pack.

The solution is to both log out to the lobby and log back in again. Once you do that you both have independent backpacks with identical items in them.

Sounds easy! Gonna give this a try when I have access...

Does this have a chance at getting banned, as its an "exploit" not a hack?

my friend said u can get banned, but he said its only for a few days or 1 week, not a global ban

Has he got any proof of this? or is that just speculation

Confirmed to work with more than 2 people. Tried it with 5 today and it worked perfect.

Yeah all u need is 1 backpack and some players, we tried it with 10 people and it worked :P

sometimes if you do it with a alice pack, ur game will crash

I did this method and it worked perfectly. My buddy and I did it about 6 times and then we were both banned from the server. It sucks because we had just repaired our helicopter.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Admins can see it. We and a few friends did it with a AS50s and set up some tents to store them up north. There were only 2 people on the server besides us. Shortly after and heli flew over shining a spotlight on us. We logged out for the night and when we came back the next day all the duped items were gone.

So now when we do it we go to a server that we don't normally play on. Dup the items then go back to our normal server.
