Variations of Stone

I have been looking at videos on how to get the different variations of stone brick. I have been trying to do it all morning and have had no luck. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong. This is one of the videos I watched and tried to copy.
I would very much appreciate any help.

It might've been patched. Besides, you can get those types of stone by jungle temples/strongholds
