How to run Botmaker's ROTMG Private server (text tutorial)

Rotmg Private Server Tutorial!
(I did not make the private server, all credit goes to Botmaker)

First, you will need:

1. Files below

Download the files above, and extract them
to your desktop.

Now you should have 3 folders

Once you have these folders, first open your client folder,
and run webserv1.exe

Make sure you allow access through your firewall. Now run your client.

Now, run your server.bat in the server folder.

After, go to editor and load a map

Next, hit test and you should be able to connect.
Sometimes it takes awhile.

the list of spawnable enemies and items will be in the client folder.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Logmein Hamachi download: https://secure.logmein.com/products/.../download.aspx (download unmanaged version).

Cannot connect error #2048- I got this a lot.
I could not connect to 127.0.0.1, so I changed the ip
to my hamachi. TO change the ip go to your client folder
and open account.xml with notepad, and between the <dns> and </dns> on the bottom line
that is the ip to change to your hamachi ip.

That should fix that.

IO Error: my friend had this problem, it was caused by him accidentaly
putting the ip in the wrong spot on account.xml
make sure the ip is between the <dns> and </dns>

Loading error, retrying-the most major cause is not running webserv1.exe

Opening webserv1.exe gives an error- my friend also had this problem
first, run webserv1.exe with administrator, then go to properties.
Go to compatibility and run it in compatibility mode for windows 95
MAKE SURE NOTHING IS RUNNING ON PORT 80 OR IT WILL NOT WORK!
Skype is a culprit!

Hopefully that should work, works 99% of the time.


TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER:

First, you will need to download hamachi. (Link Above)
Then in accounts.xml, change the ip to your hamachi ip
Then go to network in the top bar and click, "create a network" and tell your friends the credentials.
They will join the network by clicking on the top bar and clicking on "join a network", then they will also have to change the ip
in account.xml to your hamachi ip. Then, in editor, you need to load a map
then test.

They will only have to run webserv1.exe.
All they have to do is hit test and they should connect. (they dont need to load a map).

@cate2 Make sure skype is not open, and nothing is using port 80
go to cmd and type in netstat -oa to check

[FONT="Arial Narrow"]Right click webserv1 and click on properties. Then go to compability, click on *run this program in compability mode for*, then select it for windows 95. after that click on *run this program as administrator, and click ok. then it should work. Here is how it should look like.
