VMWare Patched?

Yo guys,
yesterday I installed my new VMWare with Windows 7 everything worked fine, I went offline.
Today I came online again and patched stuff blabla.. so it was ready I started crossfire normal as yesterday but the error messagebox " Crossfire cannot run under a Virtual Machine " came up, dafuq? Did they really patched VMWare?

Well anyways does any other guys here tested Windows XP already?
