Warrock broke

okay warrock does not start no more...
when i press first okay it said "Error: Cannot find child process [code:5]"
i re-installed 2 times after fully uninstalling. and installing and such.
i get past first okay then at the second okay, not even patching starts, it says." - Connot get a file [PF_0_0.zip]! " that....help?

maybe you got hardware banned? someone told me that full system restore removes it or something... iunno try... C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools

i got that once too, did you copy/move the warrock.exe file to your desktop to play it? because if you did, that would be why, you need to make a shortcut. I hope this helps

nope, i entered a ticket and still no help. i dont think its hardware banned. Why would i get hardwear banned? This happened RIGHT AFTER the new update...im like WTF i just only updated...

turn off your antiviruis shield and it will work cause i had the exact same problem, I dont how to add it to exception folder , but this will work

Never turn off antivirus, it will cause damage to your computer, every time you turn off.

i did not make this tut it is form the warrock site but i wanted to help.

With this recent patch AVG is detecting some warrock files as a virus, which it is not, it is a false positive.
This is a guide of how to add warrock to AVG's exceptions.

1. Open up the AVG interface from either the start menu, desktop shortcut or from the avg icon in the bottom right by your clock.

2. Once in the interface go to advanced settings


3. In advanced settings go to resident shield> exceptions> add path


4. Navigate to where your copy of Warrock is installed, generally C:\Program Files\War Rock or C:\Program Files\GamersFirst\War Rock ,click on the warrock folder, then hit ok in the bottom right.


What to do if AVG picked up a warrock file scaning or before you added to exceptions
1. From the main AVG interface go to computer scanner> view virus vault

2. Right click on the warrock file, should be WRUpdaterprogram, and select restore
(For this picture I used some cookies from firefox that AVG picked up, the only difference should be the file, virus name and the infection type)
