C++ Primer 5th Addition all the way. I am still reading this book to the day. And the code is perfectly up to date for Visual C++ 2008. I didn't buy my book though, got it off the web.

Though nowadays it's either already up in my head and if not i just look it up on msdn or so lol

Well i would prefer the hard copy, it's just not accessible to me. And my school books are heavy enough, not to mention a big 1000 page programming book =D

hes just 22 and im 17, hes 5 years older than me lol, anyways he skipped grade 5 and 9 cuz he was a genius, and thats y he got a job at IBM, plus hes my dad's friend too. man im so off topic right now
i have the 5th edition and its good, its still a little old, but its good. since i haven't read any of the 4th edition,i would not no if its a whole lot better. but the 5th edition is really helpful.
