I really don't think your render matches what you were trying to do. It looks like the render is medieval, whilst your background/effects are abstract. I'd recommend looking up some tutorials on how to do certain effects(one's your interested in).
Looks pretty cool actually. nice work with the colours. The white specks everywhere could be toned down a bit though.
