If its a desktop unplug it. If its a laptop take the battery out. Just make sure theres no electricity going through your comp and you should be fine

THis is my opinion too ^^
Having the battery out of it doesn't make it resist electricity. Don't plug things into the wall if your power goes out because you may get a surge. It wouldn't just get "fried" because there's lightning outside.

What are the odds of your computer freezing in the middle of watching porn when your parents are about to come in the room? Now this is a more realistic question.
^ yup With MY computer.
If you get a power strip with over voltage protection it should be fine.
Also make sure you're grounded.
If you value your PC though, you should turn it off.
